
Douglaston Development Signs Detour Gallery in Downtown Manhattan
Douglaston Development has signed a 10-year, 2,656-square-foot lease with Detour Gallery at 555 West 23rd Street in West Chelsea, New York. The gallery’s new space will be used for art exhibitions and events. The building houses 11,000 square feet of retail space, which is home to Art9 Comics, Andrea Rosen Gallery, and Fredricks and Frasier Gallery.
“We are excited to be expanding into the heart of West Chelsea as we look to connect with and showcase up-and-coming artists within this creative and art-centric community,” said Ken Schwartz, founder and art collector of Detour Gallery.
Joshua Young of Brown Harris Stevens represented the landlord in the transaction. The tenant was represented by SIDO New York Real Estate.
