Dornin Investment Ends Five-Year Hold on Energy Corridor Buildings

Dornin Investment Group ended its five-year hold on two Class B office buildings in Houston’s Energy Corridor submarket. The California investor sold the 102,956-square-foot 1250 Wood Branch Park Dr. and 61,977-square-foot 11931 Wickchester Lane to two separate buyers.

Cenikor Foundation Inc. of Houston acquired 11931 Wickchester; the nonprofit organization plans to occupy one full floor of the four-story building. Meanwhile, DIG-managed investor group acquired the Wood Branch Park Drive building through a 1031 exchange. The new ownership wants to invest approximately $1 million to upgrades the building’s interior and exterior common areas.

Martin Hogan at HFF represented DIG in the sale of 11931 Wickchester. DIG represented itself in the Wood Branch Drive building transaction. DIG had acquired both 1980s buildings in September 2013 from Peleton Commercial Real Estate.
