Doral Whole Foods-Anchored Retail Center Trades for $83M
A Whole Foods-anchored retail center in Doral has sold for $83 million. The recently completed Doral Marketplace was sold by SJC Ventures. The buyer was a group led by Jonathan Perlman. Perlman runs senior living and memory care facilities. Perlman’s company assumed $50.1 million of existing debt assigned to the Bank of Texas.
SJC Ventures broke ground on the 10-acre site in 2024 and recently completed the 88,938-square-foot shopping center. This sale did not include the 1.88-acre portion of the property leased to Chick-fil-A. The sales price comes out to just under $1,000 a square foot.
The 43,000-square-foot Whole Foods at Doral Marketplace opened earlier this summer. Other tenants include J. Crew, Shake Shack, First Watch, GoodVets, The Spot Barbershop, Encore Nails, Vio MedSpa, and Apizza Brooklyn Resto + Vino.
