Banyan wants to build two apartment towers in office parking lot

Doral Investor Eyeing Apartments in Office Parking Lot

Banyan Street Capital wants to build two apartment buildings in an office parking lot it owns, but it needs approval from the Doral City Council to do so. This amendment targets a 12.4-acre site at 8750 NW 36th Street, adjacent to the Trump National Doral Miami Resort.

The property, called Doral Center, currently has 295,134 square feet of offices in two buildings and a parking garage, which were built in 1985 and 1990. The S. Florida Business Journal reports Banyan seeks to build 330 apartments, plus another 50,866 square feet of office and another 4,200 square feet of retail/restaurants. The property was acquired for $43 million in 2020.

Doral-based Pascual, Perez, Kiliddjian, Starr & Associates designed the project.
