Dollar General opens 1 million sf Justin distribution center

Dollar General Takes Over Million SF Justin Distribution Center

One of the hangovers from the Covid pandemic was vulnerable supply chains. Dollar General is trying to get ahead of a similar episode happening again. Dollar General has expanded its global supply chain reach with a new 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Justin, 30 miles NW of Dallas.

The facility, located at 1201 Bold Ruler Road, lies near the BNSF Railway Intermodal Facility. Besides The Justin facility, the firm opened another regional distribution hub in Newnan, Georgia.

“The recent additions to our supply chain network aim to provide greater efficiencies, create additional jobs and drive positive economic impact,” said Dollar General’s Tony Zuazo.

The Justin facility will employ approximately 200 people at full capacity and serve as an intermediary point between import locations and Dollar General’s distribution center network.

The facility was a build-to-suit from Northpoint Development.
