DLA Piper Takes 119K-SF in Palo Alto
Columbia Property Trust, Inc. signed a 119,000-square-foot lease with DLA Piper at University Circle in East Palo Alto, CA, a renewal that runs through June 2023. The deal, which will be effective upon the expiration of DLA Piper’s current lease in June 2018, will keep the 451,000-square-foot office complex nearly 100% leased.
Columbia’s Nelson Mills says, “With this renewal, we have renewed the largest remaining 2018 lease expiration in our portfolio, at favorable terms, further strengthening our portfolio and continuing to build on our value-creation strategy.”
DLA Piper has been at University Circle since Columbia acquired the office portion of the complex in 2005, and is one of several law firms housed there, along with Amazon Web Services and NTT Innovation Institute.
CBRE’s George Fox, Ham Southworth and Robert Copito represented the tenant. Newmark Cornish and Carey’s Mike Courson, Howie Dallmar and Christian Prelle represented the tenant.
