DivcoWest Brings Gensler to San Diego’s DiamondView Tower

CBRE and DivcoWest have completed three significant lease transactions at DiamondView Tower, an office and mixed-use property adjacent to Petco Park in Downtown San Diego’s Ballpark District. Totaling more than 40,000 square feet, recent leasing activity includes a new, long-term office lease with Gensler, a renewal and extension by GoFundMe and the opening of Lucca Italian Sandwich Shop’s second San Diego location.

Gensler signed a lease for 19,396 square feet and is expected to move in the second quarter of 2027.  GoFundMe renewed its lease for 17,778 square feet, extending its occupancy for multiple years. Lucca Italian Sandwich Shop, a homegrown favorite, opened its second San Diego location in 3,951 square feet of ground-floor retail space along J Street. CBRE’s Tyler Jemmett, Chuck Reiter and Anna Barnes facilitated the three new leases on behalf of DivcoWest.

“Each of these transactions’ points to the same themes we’re hearing from tenants: a frictionless leasing process, an amenity package that supports employee retention, commanding views, and a Ballpark District address that resonates with clients. It’s this combination that drove the building’s leadership in downtown San Diego leasing volume last year, and it’s why we expect that momentum to continue,” said Jared Crowley, Managing Director–Investments, DivcoWest.
