The Walt Disney Co. is considering a $1-billion expansion of Anaheim’s Disneyland theme park.
Since the Burbank-based company now owns the Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars franchises, there are several options for new attractions that could be added to the world-famous facility. One of the keys is, though, that Disney wants a repeal on admission tax for the park if it goes through with the expansion, since it will be generating jobs and extra revenue for the City of Anaheim. The city council will meet next month to consider the proposal.
The addition could also take place in the Disney California Adventure portion of the complex.
