Discovery Lands in Flatiron District for New HQ

Having announced this past January that it would relocate its global headquarters from Silver Spring, MD to the Big Apple, Discovery Inc. has now zeroed in a location. The media company will lease 362,000 square feet at TF Cornerstone’s 230 Park Ave. South in the Flatiron District.

“We look forward to bringing our world-class employees together in a creative and collaborative workspace in one of Manhattan’s most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods,” said David Zaslav, Discovery’s president and chief executive.

Discovery will consolidate several of its existing New York office locations into the new space. Following a renovation of the new facility, Discovery will begin moving employees in beginning in the fall of 2019 and continuing through mid-2020.

The New York Post reported that Discovery was represented by JLL’s Cynthia Wasserberger, Michael Berg and Joe Judge. Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler, Ethan Silverstein and Mark Mandell advised TF Cornerstone.
