Dirt Work Launched on 108-Key Loren at Lady Bird Lake

Loren Hotel Group has begun site work on what will be its first U.S. hotel, the 108-room Loren at Lady Bird Lake. The hotel will be part of a $130 million mixed-use project, and will open in 2022 on acreage that once held a Pollo Tropical fast-food restaurant, and, before that, a Taco Cabana restaurant.

The eight-story property at 211 S. Lamar will also offer 26 two- to four-bedroom for-sale condominium units (including two penthouses). Other features planned for the hotel include a rooftop restaurant and event facilities with a bar and lounge, luxury spa, gym, swimming pool and a retail component.

The Loren Hotel Group, headquartered in New York City, launched its flagship property, in Bermuda, The Loren at Pink in 2017.
