Digital Media Firm Expands to 100K-SF at SoHo Building

Group Nine Media signed a 60,000-square-foot expansion lease at 568 Broadway in New York’s SoHo district. When combined with a five-year extension on its existing 40,000-square-foot lease, the deals bring the digital media company’s commitment to roughly 100,000 square feet at the 12-story, 305,000-square-foot property.

The firm already occupies space on the fourth through sixth floors at the building located between Houston and Prince Streets. The expansion space is on the 10th and 11th floors of an asset held by a partnership between Allied Partners and Aurora Capital Associates. Group Nine’s portfolio of online media brands includes Thrillist, NowThis, and Seeker, and plans to relocate The Dodo from space nearby at 100 Crosby St.

CBRE’s Derrick Ades, Tim Dempsey, Ben Fastenberg and Cara Chayet represented the tenant. JLL’s Steven Bauer and Howard Hersch represented the landlord.
