Dick’s Sporting Goods Arriving at Broadway Square Mall

Dick’s Sporting Goods will open shop in the East Texas city of Tyler, with plans to occupy 45,000 square feet at Broadway Square Mall. The sports equipment and clothing shop has a planned Q1 2020 opening date on a site that once held a Sears store. The store is being demolished, with a 118,000-square-foot building going up in its place; Dick’s will occupy part of that space.

Simon Property Group LP owns the 630,000-square foot, 45-acre retail center at 4601 S. Broadway Ave. Dick’s is not the only new occupier of the mall; in May 2019, HomeGoods and Party City received building permits for space.
