Dick’s Debuts 800K-SF Fort Worth Distribution Center

DICK’S Sporting Goods has developed an 800,000-square-foot build-to-suit distribution center in Fort Worth, its first in Texas and sixth nationwide. The facility was constructed by Hillwood Construction Services within Hillwood’s Risinger/35 Logistics Park on an 89.5-acre site. The warehouse currently employs about 150, but that could grow to about 300 over time.

The center will eventually handle regional distribution to more than 100 Dick’s Sporting Goods stores in several states. The retailer has 10 stores in Fort Worth and 11 in Dallas, with expectations for further growth.

Neighbors of Dick’s include an Amazon warehouse and a U.S. distribution center for Continental Tire that will open later this year. Hillwood is adding two new speculative industrial buildings to its growing lineup in AllianceTexas.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, founded in 1948, is headquartered in Pittsburgh and has more than 850 locations.
