Dick’s Sporting Goods spent $6.8 million on land near the intersection of Williams Field Road and San Tan Village Parkway in Gilbert to build one of its new concept stores. The property was sold by the developer of Signature at SanTan Village, a 30-acre, $145 million shopping center proposed to be built in Gilbert.

Dick’s plans on building a 119,397-square-foot House of Sport as one of the anchor tenants at the site, which will include a wide assortment of sports-related products with in-store experiences like a climbing wall, golf simulation bays, multi-sport cages and an attached outdoor field available for open play, clinics and sports leagues.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports the House of Sports stores has been a financial win for Dick’s. In 2024, Dick’s opened seven House of Sports stores, bringing the total up to 19 across the country by the end of the year.
