Development Team Planning 240K-SF Charlotte-Area Mixed-Use Project

A KW Commercial-led team is eyeing an Indian Land parcel for a mixed-use project. Indian Land is in South Carolina, just south of Charlotte.

The Point will span 44 acres and feature approximately 240,000 square feet of total commercial space. The project plan includes a hotel with about 90 rooms. The Point has other commercial outparcels for uses such as medical office, retail, smaller office space, restaurants, storage and a daycare.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports that the group is targeting summer 2026 to break ground on The Point.

It’s a busy area. In September, Medical University of South Carolina started construction on its hospital campus at 9258 Charlotte Highway. The facility is expected to open in 2027.

Also, Crosland Southeast is developing The Exchange at Indian Land, which includes Costco Wholesale Corp. and Lowes Foods stores, which both opened recently. The Exchange at Indian Land also features apartments, townhomes and more retail space.
