Development Site Fetches $5M in East Brunswick

AMS Acquisitions, a New York City-based real estate investment firm, announced the recent purchase of 377 Summerhill Rd. in East Brunswick, NJ, for $5.1 million. AMS acquired the site from HD Summerhill, LLC, a joint venture of the Hampshire Companies and Diversified Realty Advisors.

AMS plans to construct four three-story buildings with 96 rental apartments on the seven-acre development site. The community will include 24 affordable units.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Brian Whitmer, Andrew Merin, David Bernhaut, Gary Gabriel, Kyle Schmidt and Ryan Dowd represented the seller and procured the buyer.

“We saw significant interest for this development site due to the high quality of life that East Brunswick offers residents, as well as the fact that the site is fully approved with rough site work and grading already completed, a rare factor that will allow the buyer to start vertical construction in a few short months,” said Whitmer.
