Development Begins on San Diego’s Makers Quarter Office Project
Construction commenced on downtown San Diego’s first major multi-tenant office building in a decade called “Block D.” The 60,000-square-foot project within Makers Quarter is slated to deliver next year. CBRE’s Matt Carlson and Ryan Grant are handling the leasing at Block D.
Makers Quarter is being developed by Lankford & Associates, Hensel Phelps and HP Investors. The master-planned project includes roughly 979,448 square feet of office space, 140,158 square feet of retail and 808 housing units.
Makers Quarter’s development activity includes:
- Alliance Residential’s Broadstone Makers Quarter, a seven-story, 265-unit project is slated to deliver in early 2018
- Punch Bowl Social, a 25,000-square-foot venue is slated to open later this year
- 10 Barrel Brewing is due to open shortly
- Streetlights Makers Quarter, a 295-unit apartment project expected to begin later this year
