Developers Moving Forward On $300M MXU
Regent Properties received approval to redevelop the 84-acre former Texas Instruments campus at U.S. 75 and Legacy Drive in Plano, TX. Officials in Plano approved zoning for California-based Regent to build 700 apartment units, retail space and a hotel at what is being called Legacy Central.
Trammell Crow Residential will begin construction on the apartments in fall 2017.
Work is already underway on the $300-million, mixed-use development, as four old TI buildings are being converted into next-generation office space. Regent’s Eric Fleiss told the Dallas Morning News that two of the buildings, and the fitness center, are nearly completed. The four buildings total one million square feet, and when completed, the development will have one of the largest blocks of new office space along U.S. 75 in Collin County.
