Developers Begin Building 498-Unit Lakeside Lofts

Transcontinental Realty Investors Inc. and subsidiary Abode Properties began construction on Lakeside Lofts, a 498-unit multifamily project located in the 1,200-acre Mercer Crossing mixed-use development. The apartments are being built at 11500 Lago Vista West, in the Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch.

The site is adjacent to an existing Omni Hotel, as well as two other hotels currently under construction. The apartment complex will offer one and two-bedroom units, with on-site amenities including resort-style pools, a clubhouse and fitness center, parking garages, a theater, bocce ball court, fire pit and hiking and biking trail.

According to Dallas-based Transcontinental Realty’s Daniel Moos, Lakeside Lofts is the company’s eighth multifamily asset developed or leased up in 2018. “We expect more great additions to the portfolio during the remaining months of 2018,” he said.
