Developers Selected for 800-Unit S. San Francisco MF

Connect Bay Area is coming up May 17th. Here is where to get more information and register.

San Francisco-based AGI and KASA Partners were selected to develop an 812-unit apartment community on a six-acre site in South San Francisco. The city council selected the winning team from a group of four finalists, that included Blake Griggs Properties, SummerHill Homes and Republic Metropolitan.

The vacant city-owned land parcel sits on Mission Road near El Camino Real, adjacent to the city’s BART station.

The mix of housing includes 162 below-market rate units in a stand-alone project planned by Bridge Housing. The project will have a 5,000-square-foot childcare center, seven acres of parks and open space, as well as 13,000 square feet of retail. The developer envisions drawing inspiration for the project from the area’s manufacturing history, as its blends into a more modern maker economy.

The development agreement and city approval process is expected to span about a year before ground is broken.
