Developer Planning $60M Arlington Mixed-Use Venture

Wolverine Interests is hoping to package apartments, retail and office space into a 3.41-acre spot near the University of Texas at Arlington. The project calls for 248 apartments and a minimum of 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space for office and retail, along with a 300-space garage.

The Dallas Business Journal reports the cost of the project is estimated to run between $60 million and $80 million. HEDK Architects will contribute to the project’s design.

Under an agreement with Arlington, the city would provide as much as $4 million to get the project moving. In return, the developer would have to invest at least $60 million by Oct. 15, 2029 and lease 70% of the project’s retail and office space.

Wolverine hopes to demolish current buildings on the site later this year, and construction would follow about nine months after that. Delivery is expected in 2029.
