Developer Planning 220-Unit Homestead-Area Rental Community

Alcazar Development Group III has proposed an apartment complex just outside Homestead near where the company completed another project in 2019. Alcazar filed an administrative site plan review application with Miami-Dade County officials for the 4.41-acre property at the southeast corner of Southwest 281st Street and Southwest 152nd Ave. – a block east of U.S. 1.

The South Florida Business Journal reports the developer acquired the property for $3.1 million in 2015.

The Aura Living Apartments project would total 262,819 square feet in eight stories, with 220 apartments, 2,400 square feet of retail and 266 surface parking spaces. There would be a fitness center and pool on the ground floor.

The apartments would range from 729 to 1,159 square feet, with 66 one-bedroom units, 109 two-bedroom units, and 45 three-bedroom units.

Anillo Toledo Lopez is the architect of the project.

Alcazar Development Group completed the Olivia Apartments only a few blocks away in 2018 and 2019, and then sold them for $70.5 million in 2022.
