Developer Looking at Roosevelt Row for Apartment Highrise
Roosevelt Row, known in Phoenix as an arts district, may soon be home to a 30-story mixed-use tower. Mainstreet Capital Partners wants to create 297 apartments, 8,000 square feet of retail and a restaurant where an auto shop sits now. It first needs approval from a city planning authority.
The Phoenix Business Journal reports if approved, the change would increase the allowed height of buildings from 250 feet up to 325 feet, or a 30% increase, as well as an increase of up to 50% for allowed density. Mainstreet Capital Partners could then build the 30-story tower and increase the total number of units from 218 to 297.
Mainstreet Capital Partners has proposed 75 boutique apartment units (see photo) at a large Camelback office complex. The project will replace an existing parking garage at the Camelback Lakes office complex at Camelback Road and 26th Street.
