Developer Looking at Buckeye’s Verrado for Mixed-Use Project
Greenlight Communities wants to build 954 multifamily units and 5.7 acres of commercial space near the Verrado development on a site in Buckeye. The developer still needs the city council’s approval.
Greenlight wants to rezone 46.06 acres at the northeast corner of Verrado Way and the Van Buren Street alignment
AZBEX reports the plan for Greenlight Verrado will divide the site into five parcels. The intent is to create a walkable space connecting the residential with the commercial uses. A pedestrian bridge will provide walkers access to and from the different parcels.
Targeted uses for commercial projects include retail, medical, employment and educational services.
Buckeye Union High School District 201 owns the property, and Greenlight Communities is the developer. Land planning and design are through RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture. Jett Civil Engineering is the civil engineer.
