Design Firm Sasaki Releases New Carbon Benchmarking Tool

Design firm Sasaki has launched Carbon Conscience 2.0, a carbon calculator. This tool enables designers to assess and refine their projects’ carbon footprints during flexible early-stage design phases, allowing for informed benchmarking and goal-setting for detailed design stages.

Carbon Conscience 2.0 supports district-scale, whole-project-life-cycle analysis incorporating site and building data. Sasaki aims to empower designers by providing a tool to facilitate low-carbon design advocacy. The calculator includes a landscape architectural dataset, allowing for the integration of carbon sequestration from living systems.
