Design Firm Opts for Efficient Space at Woolworth Building
Design consultancy firm CallisonRTKL has signed a 10-year lease for a full floor at the historic Woolworth Building with building owner The Witkoff Group. In a relocation from nearby 148 Lafayette St., CallisonRTKL will occupy 28,096 square feet at the 60-story 233 Broadway.
JLL’s Mitchell Konsker and David Dusek represented CallisonRTKL. Recently ranked as the No. 1 retail design firm by an industry publication, the tenant was looking for “more efficient space with a flexible lease and the opportunity to grow,” said Dusek. “The Woolworth Building offered a full floor of highly-efficient space, with abundant light and air, high ceilings and extraordinary views overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.”
Witkoff was represented by REalta’s Barry Pincus and The Lawrence Group’s Brian Siegel. Since 1998, the office landlord has owned the property, at one time the world’s tallest building; its upper floors are being converted to luxury residential condominiums.
