Dermody Buys 14 Acres for First Solano County Logistics Facility

Dermody Properties acquired 14 acres on Icon Way in Vacaville, CA, with plans to develop LogistiCenter at Vacaville. The facility will feature 252,160 square feet of Class A space for industrial/logistics tenants, located midway between the San Francisco Bay Area and the Sacramento markets.

Groundbreaking is planned in October 2018, with completion expected in June 2019. The facility will feature 36-foot clear heights, as well as extra trailer and car parking to accommodate e-commerce companies.

Dermody’s George Condon says, “Class-A buildings of this size with room for trailer storage are difficult to find, and valued by both warehouse/distribution and e-commerce users. It is our first investment in the Solano County submarket, which we believe is an outstanding location for quick access to the greater Bay Area and to an exceptional work force.”

JLL’s Jason Ovadia represented Dermody Properties on the land transaction, which was facilitated by Schaal Realty Advisors’ Tom Schaal.
