Derek Schauer Joins Westmount Realty

Westmount Realty Capital LLC hired Derek Schauer as Senior Director – Office Acquisitions. In his new role, Schauer will expand the Dallas-based Westmount’s office portfolio by finding investment opportunities and managing the acquisitions process.

Schauer was previously vice president and principal of Solid Rock Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and asset management for the firm’s office investment. Schauer also spent close to a decade at Cawley Partners, where, as director of asset management, he oversaw 23 office buildings totaling four million square feet in seven markets across the U.S. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University.

“We are actively seeking to acquire stabilized central business district, suburban and infill office properties, along with value-add office assets across the U.S. We believe that Derek’s expertise in this sector will help us to achieve this goal,” said Clifford Booth, president and CEO of Westmount.
