Denver Parking Lot Moguls Looking to Build Office High-Rise
Residential projects have flooded the Golden Triangle in Denver. One renowned parking lot owner thinks apartments tenants might like to work in an office nearby to where they live.
The Dikeou family has proposed a new 17-story office tower at 1201 Cherokee St. on the northwest corner of West 12th Avenue and Cherokee Street. An LLC associated with Panayes Dikeou purchased the site in 2016 for more than $4.5 million, according to property records.
The Denver Business Journal reports a formal site development plan was recently submitted to the city for the 339,820-square-foot building on the 0.6-acre property. The plan also includes 5,444 square feet of ground-floor cafe, retail and restaurant use, in addition to 221 parking spaces.
