(Denim and) Diamonds are CREW-OC’s Best Friend

Denim and diamonds, two classic and essential wardrobe staples. What do these two seemingly different articles have in common? They are timeless, just like the members of CREW-OC. Catch these two items sported at the CREW-OC event, August 8th at Strawberry Farms Golf Club.

That evening, CREW-OC will host its annual Summer Party, but with a fresh take: this year, it’s a “Denim and Diamonds” themed party, bringing some classic western style to CRE. CREW-OC members are bringing their unique perspectives to the market, elevating the CRE industry while still adding flair to this annual summer party. (Tickets are selling quickly, but a limited number are still available here.)

Connect Media went behind the scenes for an exclusive interview with Dawna Fry, Senior Account Manager for HARBRO and Co-Chair of the CREW-OC Summer Party Committee.

Q: Why choose Denim and Diamonds as a theme?
A:
Fry: We wanted to bring a little country to our industry, and have clients dust off their hats and boots for some fun and laughter, while supporting CREW-OC’s charity, WisePlace.

Q: Do you think these fashion trends have anything in common with the CRE industry?
A: Fry:
Most definitely… Fashion in the CRE industry has become more casual, allowing everyone to express their attire preference. From wearing jeans or skirts with boots in the office, employees are allowed to be more comfortable and relaxed. As for our service providers, it is become more natural to see a pair of boots with a dress or jeans when meeting with clients.

Q: Why should people attend the Denim and Diamonds themed CREW-OC summer party?
A: Fry:
The evening’s casual atmosphere will welcome all attendees who will be able to enjoy a relaxed, social gathering with a country buffet and live country music by the Smith Band. All raffle, silent and live auction donations will be viewable at their leisure before and during the program, where proceeds will be donated to WisePlace, a community of housing and hope for women in crisis. We encourage guests to dress up in their most comfortable country attire.
