Denihan Hospitality Names Regional Operations VP
Boutique hotel owner/developer Denihan Hospitality has named Gul Goknar Turkmenoglu regional VP of operations. While overseeing all of Denihan’s general managers, Goknar Turkmenoglu will continue to serve as one herself at The Benjamin, the 209-key property she has managed since joining the company in 2016.
“Gul has proven to be an incredibly valuable asset to the company, and this promotion is commensurate with her contributions,” said Denihan president Vera Manoukian. “Not only has she enhanced The Benjamin’s already strong operating and financial metrics, she has helped institute operational improvements across our portfolio to drive profitability, efficiency and guest engagement.”
Prior to joining Denihan, Goknar Turkmenoglu served in senior management roles at other Manhattan hotel properties, including Hudson New York, The Lexington Hotel NYC and ONE UN New York. In 2006, the Turkish native emigrated from Egypt to join the management team at the Waldorf Astoria.
