Denham Wolf Breaks Ground on Community Health Facility Expansion

Denham Wolf Real Estate Services and the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center in Queens’ Far Rockaway neighborhood broke ground on an expansion that will double the center’s current size to a total of 44,000 square feet. Slated for completion in 2019, the 22,000-square-foot addition will allow the center to further its mission of providing essential health services to medically underserved residents of the Rockaway Peninsula.

“Increasing the physical capacity of this facility is crucial to expanding the care, services, and economic opportunity available to a community that has been historically underserved,” said Jonathan Denham, co-president of nonprofit-focused Denham Wolf and owner’s representative for the project.

The Addabbo Center was founded in 1968 and has occupied its currently facility, on which it partnered with Denham Wolf, since 2005. In 2013, the center’s plans for expansion aligned with an RFP to develop city-owned land adjacent to the facility.
