Demolition to Make Way for Two Denver Towers
CMK Companies paid for a demolition team to raze a former bus terminal at California and 22nd streets in Denver’s Ballpark District. The Denver Business Journal reports CMK is making way for a massive development that’s still in the approval process with the city.
The current plan details two towers with 659 residential units and three podium levels, in addition to four stories of below-grade parking, plus two levels of above-grade parking. In total, the project is proposing 450 parking spaces.
The new residential building would also come with retail space, and the units would be a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Amenities include a dog run, pool area and fitness space on the fourth level. Perkins & Will is the architect of the project.
The site is about three-quarters of an acre, located across 22nd Street from the Mercury Cafe. CMK Companies purchased the property in December 2021 for $8.35 million.
