Del Amo Completes Adaptive Reuse of Culver City Office

Southern California-based construction company Del Amo Construction has completed the adaptive reuse transformation of 3516 Schaefer St., a new creative office property in Culver City, CA. The site was formerly a single-story building that was removed by Del Amo and a crane-rail structure that was incorporated into the new building which received an award from the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The three-story, 25,000-square-foot Redcar Ltd. property is located in the Hayden Tract neighborhood and sits in an area that has emerged as a technology and media hub due to its proximity to transit as well as local dining and shopping.

Features at 3516 Schaefer include 18-foot-high floors, open work areas, private patios, outdoor decks on all floors, a sloping roof line and an exterior of metal, glass, concrete and wood. The building also offers a variety of sustainable features include roof solar panels, programmable Lutron lighting, EV charging stations and a stormwater capturing drywell system.
