DCT Planning 252K-SF Industrial Park for Port of Houston

DCT Industrial Trust Inc., an industrial REIT headquartered in Colorado, will soon launch construction on a two-building, 252,000-square-foot industrial park near the Port of Houston. Dubbed DCT PetroPort Industrial Park, 163,000 square feet has already been preleased. The 35-acre site is near SH 225 and Sens Road in the southeast submarket.

The project is being built to cater to both Port of Houston-affiliated businesses, as well as companies that serve the growing petrochemical industry. The property is also served by the Port Terminal Association. “Finding PTRA rail-served land is like finding a diamond in the rough,” DCT senior vice president told the Houston Business Journal.

A specific groundbreaking date on PetroPort Industrial Park was not disclosed.
