DC Office Development Project Receives $216M Investment Infusion
Skansa has invested nearly $220 million into the Washington, D.C., office development project 17xM. Space in the building is currently more than 50 percent leased.
17xM will become a 160,000-square-foot, 11-story building located in the CBD at the intersection of 17th Street and M Street Northwest. Currently, 17xM is the first WiredScore SmartScore certified office buildings in North America.
Construction is expected to start in the fall of 2021, and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
Skanska has signed a 16-year lease agreement with the global law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP for about 160,000 square feet.
Since 2009, Skanska has invested more than $3.2 billion in commercial and multi-family projects, creating more than 1 million square meters of sustainable and community focused developments in select U.S. markets.
