DC 388-Unit MF Building Tops Out

Aria Development Group has topped off The Florian, a 388-unit apartment building in Washington, DC.

The multifamily development, designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, rises 14 stories at the confluence of neighborhoods including NoMa, Bloomingdale, Eckington, and the Union Market District. The Florian will include a rooftop pool, a private event space, a fitness center, a co-working space, and more.

“The design is a bold and exuberant expression that provides calm, inviting, and airy spaces within,” said Morris Adjmi of Morris Adjmi Architects. “The precast panel façade is inspired by the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, Italy. Its diamond pattern playfully catches light and shadows in varying ways. The interior design features elegant and lively materials, furniture, and art that are grounded in the la dolce vita spirit of mid-century Italian design.”
