Dayton Street Buys Alsip Operations Hub
Dayton Street Partners, together with an institutional investor, has acquired a 172,000-square-foot, cross-dock truck terminal at 12161 S. Central in Alsip, IL from Experior Transport, which will lease the facility for the next 15 years. It sold for $31.5 million.
Built by Experior in 2013 as its operations hub, the property includes 100,376 square feet of warehouse space with 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 69 dock-high doors and one drive-in door. There is also a 30,000-square-foot truck maintenance facility and 41,624 square feet of finished office space.
“This state-of-the-art asset plays a critical role in moving product though the regional and last-mile supply chain, and its acquisition falls in line with DSP’s overall strategy of acquiring high barrier to entry infill, logistics related real estate,” said Howard Wedren, DSP’s founder and managing partner.
The joint venture was represented by Cawley Chicago’s Joshua Hearne. The seller did not have representation.
