Davis Research Park Acquired for $70M
University Research Park in Davis, CA, a 17-building, 304,912-square-foot office complex was acquired by Sacramento-based Fulcrum Properties for roughly $70 million. Owned by Sacramento developer Mark Friedman, the buyer is also one of the owners of the Sacramento Kings.
Fulcrum and partner Verbena Road Holdings Ltd. plan to develop new lab and office space, as well as enhancements to create a tech campus sought by startup companies from the Bay Area and those that spin out of UC Davis.
New gathering spaces will be added and events that feature music and food trucks are planned. A mixed-use residential element is also being considered.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Jim Gray and Nahz Anvary represented the buyer. CBRE’s Stuart Wright, Matt Post, Russell Ingrum, Joe Moriarty, Tyler Meyerdirk and Sean Sullivan represented the seller, Davis-based Interland LLC.
