Davis Companies, Boston Development Group Top Off Life Science Building in Watertown
The Davis Companies and Boston Development Group have topped off Phase One of 66 Galen Street, a 224,000-square-foot purpose-built, Class A life science building in Watertown, MA. The project is on schedule for occupancy in 2023.
Phase One is part of a larger two-part campus plan that will encompass more than five acres of land, 40 percent of which will be dedicated to open space. Upon final buildout, the campus will include over 450,000 square feet of purpose-built lab space across two new Class A life science buildings.
66 Galen Street will offer six private tenant outdoor spaces and a common rooftop balcony with panoramic views of the Charles River. Additional amenities include fitness center, locker rooms, bike room and retail/café space. A 25,000-square-foot rooftop solar array will contribute sustainably to the building’s power.
The project will also include upgrades to the public realm along the Galen Street corridor, such as traffic signalization, lane widenings, dedicated bus lanes and sidewalks.
