D & B headed to Southpark Meadows

Dave & Buster’s Headed for Southpark Meadows

Dave & Buster’s will open during the holiday season at one of the region’s biggest retail centers, Southpark Meadows, south of Austin.

Slated to open the week before Christmas, the company is looking to hire 160 employees for positions such as servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks, game techs and more.

Dave & Buster’s will be in a roughly 23,000-square-foot space. It will offer more than 100 arcade games, chef-crafted food and drinks, and a bar featuring a 40-foot wall with a high-definition television screen.

Project construction costs were estimated at $3.6 million.

Last year, Dave & Buster’s paid $835 million for Main Event Entertainment Inc., combining two large entertainment brands. The company owns and operates 210 venues in North America, including its Main Event locations.
