Data Center Partnership Makes First Acquisition

A day after Next Tier HD and RedBird Capital Partners announced an investment partnership to acquire mission critical and data center properties across the U.S., the partnership has announced its first acquisition. The Next Tier Connect partnership has acquired a 505,000-square-foot mission critical mixed-use campus in Monroeville, PA, a Pittsburgh suburb, for an undisclosed sum.

The campus at 4350 Northern Pike in Monroeville served as the former Westinghouse Nuclear headquarters.

The property is currently leased to several Fortune 500 companies for office, call center, business continuity and data center spaces. It will be repositioned and re-branded as “Next Tier Connect – Pittsburgh East.”

“We look forward to executing on our expansion into the Pittsburgh market through the acquisition of this premier property,” said David Spiewak, managing principal of Next Tier HD. This is a world-class mixed-use mission critical campus, which we look forward to restoring to its prior iconic state.”
