Data Center Developer to Unveil Plans to Bastrop County Residents

Bastrop County residents and stakeholders will be given the opportunity to ask questions about three planned Cedar Creek data center campuses spanning nearly 1,500 acres. Construction on one center is underway. Two are in the planning stages. The investment of the three totals over $2 billion.

Community Impact reports the three EdgeConneX campus projects are in various stages of development and review, including:

  • Campus No. 1 is underway at 6682 FM 535, Cedar Creek, and includes about 112 acres, about $440 million in capital improvements and one two-story building totaling about 578,000 square feet. Completion is expected this summer.
  • Campus No. 2 includes properties at 6682 FM 535 and 6402 FM 535 in Cedar Creek. It includes 951 acres and about $1.4 billion in capital improvements. Two buildings are currently proposed, with seven additional buildings anticipated in future phases.
  • Campus No. 3 could house nine data center buildings on 400 acres at 6543 FM 535 in Cedar Creek. The project remains in the preliminary stages.
