Danish Rainwear Brand Opens Second U.S. Store

The Hudson Companies said that Rains, a contemporary rainwear lifestyle brand, has opened a concept store in a 1,500-square-foot space at House No.94 on North 3rd Street in Williamsburg. The Danish company signed a five-year lease this spring, joining Pilates studio [solidcore] and French fashion house A.P.C. in the building.

ABS Partners Real Estate’s Mark Tergesen represented ownership, while Zelnik & Company represented Rains.

The concept store is Rains’ first location in Brooklyn and second in the U.S., following the 2017 opening of a location on Lafayette Street in SoHo. The new store occupies a portion of the retail space at the base of the seven-story mixed-use building that opened in May of 2018.

“The Scandinavian aesthetic and functionality of the Rains product are so great you can appreciate them even on a sunny day, but especially as we head into these blustery winter months,” said Hudson principal Alison Novak.
