Dania Beach Hotel Developer Eyeing 79-Room Project
A small, dated hotel in Dania Beach may be replaced by a new, much larger one. The owner of the 12-room Stay Inn Motel, which was built in 1949, is considering knocking it down and replacing it with a 79-room, 79,000-square-foot hospitality option. The hotel site is on .67 acres at 380 S. Federal Highway, just off Highway 1.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that Hasi Hasam bought the property for $695,000 in 2015 and hopes to get zoning to build the new hotel. Studio Patrick Soares in Coconut Creek would design the new hotel.
There would also be a pool, deck, and outdoor lounge on the roof.
Dania Beach, a town of 31,000, is adjacent to Hollywood. It’s known for its large number of antique shops.
