Dallas-Fort Worth Leads Nation in Industrial Building Construction
Industrial space equivalent to more than 320 Walmart Supercenters is being built in Dallas-Fort Worth. A CommunityEdge report shows DFW had nearly 60.6 million square feet of industrial space under construction at the end of June. That comes out to about 840 million square feet of future warehouse space. That leads the nation. Phoenix and Riverside-San Bernardino are second and third.
Notable projects under construction include Stream Realty Partners’ 3.4-million-square-foot development in Mesquite, east of Dallas, and Texas Instruments’ 4.7-milllion-square-foot chip manufacturing plant in Sherman.
