Dallas-Based S2 Capital Closes Value-Add Multifamily Fund
S2 Capital has closed the S2 Multifamily Value-Add Fund I. The fund closed at its hard cap of $400 million in investor and co-invest commitments. It took eight months to raise the funds, and it exceeded company expectations. Its original target was $250 million.
“We are grateful for the support from our investors in raising our first fund, especially through the challenging financial markets of recent months,” said S2’s Scott Everett.
S2 focuses on value-add multifamily investing in Sunbelt locations. The firm says it combines expertise in operations and construction to optimize returns. With approximately $10 billion in transaction volume, S2 has acquired approximately 46,000 units through 134 acquisitions, and has invested over $500 million in upgrades and renovations.
