Dallas Airport Hyatt Finishes $34M Facelift
The Grand Hyatt DFW increased its room count from 298 to 315 and updated its event conference space and fitness center. Also receiving updates were the hotel’s Grand Met restaurant and lounge to increase seating capacity and bring a new global fusion concept.
Construction on the renovations took seven months. The hotel remained opened during the entire project. Design One Studio was the architecture firm that handled the renovation project.
The hotel first opened in Terminal D in July 2005, giving Hyatt Hotels Corp. three properties at the airport, along with the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place DFW.
Renovations are complete just as the airport is undergoing its own $9 billion capital improvement plan. The plan will renovate Terminal C, add five new gates to Terminal A and build a new Terminal F.
American plans to occupy all of Terminal F, which it said will make it the largest single-carrier hub in the United States.
