Manor Downs to become industrial park

Dalfen Converting Manor Racetrack to Industrial

The horse track had its last race over 15 years ago, and now, a Dallas developer has plans for over a million square feet of industrial space at the site. The plan includes six buildings—ranging from 84,000 to 500,000 square feet—along with a community area that includes an amphitheater that the city of Manor would develop. The area would connect to a proposed extension of East Howard Lane.

The Austin Business Journal reports that terms would include a tax abatement from the city of Manor, expediting the permit review process, and other development-related agreements.

The company developed the 800,000-square-foot Airport Logistics Center at 6106 Ross Road in Del Valle, where furniture maker Four Hands LLC leased 570,489 square feet earlier this year. JLL’s Ace Schlameus and Kyle McCulloch are handling leasing at the industrial park.
