Cybersecurity Center Opens in Burns Building

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has set up its national cybersecurity operations at the Burns Building in downtown San Antonio.  Specifically, the consulting firm inked a deal for 12,000 square feet at 401 E. Houston St, and moved approximately 30 employees into the 41,668-square-foot building. The center opened June 18.

The company has plans to expand its cybersecurity employee base, as it adds more customers for its managed services. “A lot of the folks we are looking to hire out of college will definitely want to live and work downtown, so we think that it will be a competitive advantage to be in that downtown tech corridor,” PwC’s Matt Duffey told the San Antonio Business Journal. PwC also leases 5,600 square feet in the Concord Building, near Alamo Quarry.

Local developer David Adelman acquired the Burns Building in early 2017.
